Another enjoyable slice of Victoriana ventroiloquism, but a maximum of that, Female in a Blue Dress may be the latest Guy Booker longlisting for 3rd party Tindal Road. Yet general it does not have the depth and pure chutzpah which should inform the judges' last selection.
